Roy M. Miller, Jr., 77, of Washington, D.C., passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at George Washington University Hospital. Born January 7, 1945, in Warren, he was the son of the late Roy M. Miller and Elizabeth (Libby) Orr Miller.

He was a 1963 graduate of Warren High School and attended Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas at Monticello (formerly Arkansas A&M College). He was a star backstroke swimmer for the YMCA that literally dominated everyone in the early 1960’s.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1969 where he served four years.  He was then employed by Blue Cross and Blue Shield where he retired in 2004 as a Senior Software Testing Engineer.     

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Harry and Eva (Byrd) Miller and J.H. and Hattie (Beasley) Orr.

He is survived by a sister, Pam Miller Cook (Danny) of Warren; two nieces, Lori Cook Lewis (Jim) of Ozark, Mo. and Jennifer Cook Dunagan (Kevin) of Little Rock; one great-niece, Lillie Dunagan; three great-nephews, Jackson Lewis, Luke Dunagan, and Colin Dunagan; numerous cousins; and longtime friend, Elsayed Mansour.
