Rhoda Marie Rodgers, 91, passed away peacefully August 27, 2022 surrounded by family. Rhoda is survived by her husband Daniel Ladane Rodgers, her children Jenny (Chris Funnell), David (Susan Rodgers), Terry (Janan Rodgers), and Becky (Derek Hinton), and her grandchildren Jonathan Funnell, Michael Funnell, Kristina Rodgers, Clint Rodgers, Cooper Rodgers, Marin (Rodgers) and Evan Johnson, Hayley (Hinton) and Brent Ripperger, and Evan Hinton, her great-grandson Jack Johnson, and her sister Karen Teige. She joins her parents and other siblings in heaven.
Rhoda was born in Minneapolis, MN where she met her husband, Daniel Ladane Rodgers, who was a Captain in the Air Force, and they married in 1955. Daniel Ladane was born in Warren, AR, and attended grade school there and graduated from Hermitage High School and the University of Arkansas. Rhoda was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandson were her pride and joy. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and was always a role model for them. She provided a safe, loving and welcoming home where they could always come for refuge and comfort. She was beloved by her family and they will all greatly miss her zest for life, inspiring bravery, and the love she showed each and every one of them.
Rhoda’s life will be honored at a service at Outlaw Cemetery in Bradley County, Arkansas on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 at 10:00am.
