Michael Edwin Trussell, 69 of West Memphis, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2022. He was born April 16, 1953 in Warren.

He is survived by wife, Belinda Faye Trussell; son, Christopher Michael Brooks (Karlena); grandchildren, Faith Brooks, Hope Brooks, and Jaci Manning, great-grandchild, Myla Manning; his mother, Betty Elaine Trussell; sister, Sharon Rose Green (Gary); brother, David Roscoe Trussell; Nephew, Jason Gary Green (Jessica); nieces; Devon Donnelly Steppes (Vincent), Scarlett Elaine Donnelly, and Lindsey Trussell Harvey  (Derick) and 4 great nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Roscoe Trussell; his sisters, Rosalinda Trussell and Julie Trussell Donnelly; his paternal grandparents John and Mattie Trussell; and his maternal grandparents Horace and Verlee Hamilton.

Mike was baptized as a teenager at First Baptist Church in Warren. He was a 1971 graduate of Warren High School, where he excelled playing the clarinet in one of Curry Martin’s legendary bands, and he later attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He retired after 30 years at the West Memphis office of the Arkansas Highway Department. He loved his dogs, which he considered family, and he particularly enjoyed this last Razorback football season, because he finally believed fans had something to get excited about.

Mike had a big, tender heart, and he was the life of the party at family get togethers. He will be missed dearly, but his family takes solace in the belief that he is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his loved ones who have gone ahead of him.

Funeral serviced were held 2p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Pattsville Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
