Mary (Janice) Williams Entered into rest on August 3, 2022, in San Jose, Calif. at the age of 86. She was born November 23, 1935, in Warren, but mostly lived in Vick and Ingalls before moving to California with her parents.
She was married for 51 years to her beloved husband, Billy D Williams of Warren, who predeceased her on October 24, 2004. She is survived through her son Dean Williams (Patti) of Rancho Cordova, Calif; daughter Vicki Williams of San Jose, Calif; and brother Dwayne Thornton of Tulsa, Okla. She is predeceased by her daughter Debby Williams of San Jose ,Calif; parents Claude and Ladola (Sharp) Thornton of Warren, Remembered by her 5 grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Michael, Steven, and Kristen; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was a retired executive assistant with Bendall Corp and City of Saratoga. Former member of Cambrian Park Baptist and Foxworthy Baptist churches. She was also a past member of the Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church.
Our mother loved camping, road trips, one-arm bandits and visiting especially attending family reunions in Arkansas. She like to fish but someone else would have to hook the worm for her! Mom loved her Warriors basketball as she played the game while attending Vick High School in Arkansas. She loved her brother, nieces, nephews, cousins who are many, and most importantly us her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Samaritan’s Purse. Friends are invited to join family on Monday August 29, 9:30am at Darling-Fischer, 615 N Santa Cruz, Ave in Los Gatos. Followed by interment at Los Gatos Memorial Park. This will be a combined service which will also honor our sister Debby who passed on December 5, 2021.
