Gifford Oliver Godfrey, 79, of Dumas passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 at The Oasis of Dumas Assisted Living Facility in Dumas. He was born on February 24, 1943 in Eagle Lake to the late Virgil Lee Godfrey and Ruby Harrod Godfrey. He was a member of Tillar Baptist Church.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jean Godfrey and his daughter, Michelle Godfrey Bell.
Survivors include his son, DeWayne Godfrey (Shari) of McGehee, grandchildren, Morgan Michelle Godfrey (Sam) of Little Rock, and Hunter DeWayne Godfrey (Victoria) of Rogers; great-grandchild, Sutton Rose Godfrey of Rogers.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Union Hill Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Pennington officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
