Alice Faye Temple Turney, 83

Alice Faye Temple Turney 83 went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, December 22, 2022 while at her home in Russellville. She was born on September 2, 1939, Shreveport, LA to the late TJ Temple and Delores McKinney Temple. She was a member of Trinity Unity Methodist Church.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lindsey Turney, Sr., whom she married on August 13, 1961 and he passed away on April 12, 2013. The two of them also lost an infant child, Donald Bowman Turney.

She is survived by her two sons, Lindsey Turney and spouse Missy of Sheridan and TJ Turney (Ellen) of Russellville: her baby sister, Pam Freeman (Danny) of Sheridan; grandchildren, Lawrence Turney of Texas, Keegan Turney of Horatio, Monty Turney of Russellville, Eric French (Dallas) of Dover, Brittany Duvall (Lucas) of Russellville, Casey King (David) of Sheridan, and Daniel Johnson (Erica) of Grady, and 11 great grandchildren.

She was a schoolteacher, retired from Cabot School District, after which she and her husband Donald travelled with the Road hogs for the next 10 years, her biggest love was her family and spending all the time together they could, making memories. She also, loved reading her Bible, scrapbooking, crocheting, knitting, birdwatching, playing games, and sometimes just sitting quietly watching her family. Alice Faye remained a loyal hog fan and she called the hogs until God called for her to come home.

Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, AR. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
