Warren High School begins Phase III

The Warren School Board met for their first meeting of 2023 last Monday to discuss several business items. It was also the first meeting for new school board member Ana Angeles.

Warren School Superintendent Bryan Cornish reported they were ready for Clark Contractors to begin Phase III of the Warren High School repairs. The school board approved Clark Contractors to begin Phase III. This phase includes repairs to the auxiliary gym and the band room that were heavily damaged. The contract was for $4,047,000. The school district will receive $3.5 million from the insurance settlement.

Superintendent Bryan Cornish reported the first basketball game in the new arena will be on January 27.

The school board approved the purchase of two score boards for the baseball and softball field from Rainey Electronics, Inc. for $23,040.99. The Warren School Foundation will reimburse the district $20,000.

Superintendent Cornish said January was School Board Recognition Month. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the school board members.

The next school board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 13 at the Warren School Administration Building.
