Toxey Gage Simmons, 20, of Warren, passed away at Bradley County Medical Center on July 18, 2023. He was born on October 1, 2002 in Warren to David and Karen Simmons.
He is survived by his parents, David and Karen Simmons of Warren; his sister Lani Gavin (Justin) of Pansy, and brother Derek Simmons of Warren. His nieces, Cassie Simmons, Kamdyn Simmons both of Warren who were more like sisters to him, Maci Gavin and nephew, Jace Gavin, both of Pansy; His grandmother Carolyn Huitt of Warren, along with a host of friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Rudy Dean, and Larry Huitt, his paternal grandparents, Jody Simmons and Betty Simmons-Chapman.
Toxey was a 2021 graduate of Warren High School. In high school, he enjoyed competing in Skeet Shooting tournaments and working on his lifted truck. After high school, Toxey joined the family business, Simmons and Sons Construction, with the plans of taking it over from his daddy. His favorite part was driving his big blue dump truck.
Toxey was a very hard worker and always optimistic in life. He was always willing to do anything for anyone. He loved four-wheeler riding, hunting and fishing, spending time with family and friends, and helping out wherever he could.
Toxey was a member of Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church in Warren. Toxey has a personal relationship with Christ and knew his final destination was Heaven.
Funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Bro. Sydney McGraw and Bro. Rick Bolin officiating. Burial was in Cross Roads Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the YMCA in memory of Toxey; 207 N Main St. Warren, AR 71671.
