Thomas Carey “Red” Taylor, 79, of Warren, died Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born May 15, 1944 in Warren, a son of the late Robert and Bernice Forrest Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a 1962 graduate of Woodlawn High School. He served in the United States Air Force, was an airplane mechanic, truck driver, auto mechanic and worked for the Arkansas Highway Department.
He loved hunting, fishing, horses, camping, traveling and sweets. Mr. Taylor was an active member of Bethel No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church where he taught BTC for many years.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Linda Richardson Taylor; Children, Connie Miller (Boyce), Stacey Hankins (Scott), Devin Kearney (Joe), all of Woodlawn, Brent Taylor of Rye; brothers, Robert “Tony” Taylor of Camden, Jimmy Taylor of Rye; grandchildren, Lindsey Blevins, Katie McKeown, Luke Hankins, Cody Taylor, Weston Lephew, Levi Taylor, Miles Hargrave, Stormy Doss, Emmitt Hargrove; one great grandchild, Audrey Mounts.
Funeral services were 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Bethel No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church with Bro .Wade Petty and Bro. Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Prosperity Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison from 6 to 8 p.m.
