Mark Anthony (Tony) Welsh, 51, of Hampton, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at home surrounded by family. He was born in El Dorado, Arkansas on July 24, 1972. He is preceded in death by his father Haydn Martin (Hank) Welsh and his mother Carolyn Nettles Welsh.
Tony is survived by a sister, Kelly Welsh Ashcraft and spouse Jerry of Warren, Arkansas; two nieces Taylor (Kyle Lassiter) Ashcraft Lassiter of Monticello, Arkansas, and Payton (Matt Cater) Ashcraft of Maumelle, Arkansas. Tony is further survived by a very special bonus mother Judy Carter of Hampton, Arkansas.
Tony was a 1990 graduate of Hampton High School, Hampton, Arkansas and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas. After college, he worked in management for Ben Bridge Jewelry Stores at the Austin, Texas location. He was very knowledgeable about watch making and repairs. Tony loved the film industry and movies. He was a food enthusiast and loved to cook. Tony had a great sense of humor for which he will be remembered. He was beloved by many friends who were more like family to him.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, Means Cemetery, Hampton, Arkansas. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
