The Lumberjack Arena had its grand opening on Wednesday, January 25 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Many from the school district and the community were in attendance to celebrate the occasion. After the ceremony, everyone was able to walk inside the arena and see the interior. Free hot dogs and popcorn were handed out by Union Bank. The first basketball game in the arena was held Friday. The Lumberjack Arena will soon host the4A regional basketball tournament on February 22-25. The arena seats 1,895 and 2,500 for other events. Superintendent Bryan Cornish thanked everyone in attendance and everyone in the community for their continued support.
