Kenneth D. Johnson, 91, of Pine Bluff, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Born April 17, 1932 at Vick in Bradley County, he was a son of the late Henry Doyle Johnson and Nolia Lee Johnson. He grew up in the Vick community and attended school there. He also served in the United States Army from 1952-1954.
Mr. Johnson was a master electrician and worked at many building sites, including the White Bluff Power Plant at Redfield. He was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Helen West Johnson in June 13, 2007; a brother, Derry Lee Johnson; and a sister, Nellie Dean Parnell.
Survivors include two sons, Stanley Johnson (Debralee) of Gilmer, Texas and Mike Johnson (Crystal) of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Theresa Perrigen (Kevin) of Monticello and Deana Helms (Chris) of Pine Bluff; a brother, Dwight Johnson of Hindsville; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Johnson will begin Thursday, March 7, 2024, 9:30 a.m. at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Mike Powell officiating. Burial will be private by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
