James Arnold Thompson 76 of Warren passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters on Friday, June 10, 2022. He was born on March 16, 1946 in Bradley County to the late Elmer and Artie Pruitt Thompson of Warren.

James was retired from Robbins Whitt Plant in Warren. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and a devoted husband to his wife of 36 years, Elenor Darlene Thompson. He was a Vietnam Veteran. James was an avid fisherman who loved going camping at Lake Chicot with his wife and two furry sidekicks, Buttons and Prissy and any family or friends that wanted to join them. He spent many hours in his little shop welding and building things as well as working in his yard with his wife.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Artie Thompson of Warren, a sister Lou Clark of Little Rock, a daughter Ashley Renee Thompson of Warren, and a granddaughter Jessica Lynn Mann of Rye.

Surviving him is his loving wife, Elenor Darlene Nichols Thompson of Warren; one brother Roy Burton Thompson (Judy) of Wilmar; one son James Kelly Thompson (Amanda) of Shelbyville Tenn; two daughters, Ramona Angela Reynolds Tiner (Mike) and Alesia (Lisa) D. Reynolds Mann both of Rye; six grandchildren James Lee

Thompson, Jonathon Hunter Thompson and Justin Lane Thompson, all of Shelbyville Tenn; Wesley Wade Mann (Rachelle) and Samantha Nicole Mann Pomeroy (Kyler) both of Hot Springs; Laci Michael Tiner Poole (Jeremy) of Rye; five great grandchildren, Aiden, Sadie, and Luke Poole of Rye and Chaise and Adley Mann of Hot Springs.
