Food trucks and Market on Main were the main topics of discussion at the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce meeting on Monday.

Terrie White said the Bryant Building would possibly be used as a food truck court once the building is demolished. She commented there would be electricity and water there. The Chamber discussed different ways to bring in food trucks like what is done in Monticello on their “Food Truck Fridays”.

The Chamber of Commerce also talked about various ways to advertise the Market on Main. It was decided to look into promoting Market on Main on the electronic billboard downtown Warren.

There were also discussions on the time of the Market on Main Festival. Some brought up the current time of the festival, at 8 a.m., as being too early for people to come to the Market on Main. After talking about it, the Chamber decided to move the event up to 10 a.m. to give people time to attend. The next Market on Main will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 15 at the old Martin Lot in downtown Warren.

JaNelle Lipton said the committee had met to make changes to the bylaws. One of the changes was changing the name of the “President” position to “Chairman of the Board”.

Two ribbon cutting ceremonies were announced. Behavioral Science Services, a new business opening up, will have a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 16. Mainline Health Services will have a grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 17.

The community-wide Easter Egg Hunt will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1 at Warren City Park. The Easter Bunny will attend. A booth will also be there to hand out books. State Representative Jeff Wardlaw will hand out hot dogs and water.

The next Chamber of Commerce meeting will be at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 10 at the BCEDC Building.
