Billy Ray Bethea, 93 of Warren, passed away June 12, 2022 at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. He was born May 5, 1929 in Wilmar, to the late Albert Henry Bethea and Ruby George Bethea. He was a private first class in the United States Army and worked for the Arkansas State Highway Department for 32 years.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Billy Michael Bethea; a brother, Arthur Bethea; and sisters, Faye McKinney, Helen Dodgion and Arline Vickers.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Lassiter Bethea of Warren, whom he married on September 16, 1969. Sons, Perry Moore (Janice) of Rison and Jerry Moore (Judy) of Warren, along with three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Steve Mann officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s. Pallbearers were Perry Moore, Jerry Moore, Gene McPherson and Christopher McPherson.
