Barbara Grote, 76

Barbara was born May 6, 1948, in Woodlawn, Arkansas, the eighth of twelve children, to the late Lester Grider and Maggie Spakes Grider.

In 1965, Barbara married her first husband, the late Jimmy West and raised their two sons – Jeffrey Shane West and Anthony Brent West. Barbara remarried in 1975 and had son Austin Clay Grote in 1976.

She worked as an emergency room nurse in hospitals throughout California, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri. Her calm demeanor and strong work ethic was an asset in high stress situations.
