Anna Louise Grider, 89

Anna Louise Grider, age 89, of Warren, Arkansas entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, February 17, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 22, 1933 in Bradley County, Arkansas to Orlan and Edna Wells Carter. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Kay Grider, her parents, Orlan and Edna Carter, her brothers, Olan Jr. Carter and Billy Ray Carter.

Anna was a devoted wife, loving mother, homemaker, and an active member of the Farmville community. She was a member of Farmville Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed keeping her grandchildren, working in her yard, decorating her home, and helping others. She was well known as the family event planner. Anna planned family gatherings such as holidays, vacations, and the annual Grider Family Reunion. Anna was active in the Hermitage PTO and in all school sponsored activities. She was a loyal Hermit fan and attended most of her children and grandchildren’s sporting and academic events for over four decades. Anna also enjoyed supporting the Arkansas Razorbacks. While enjoying the above, Anna was employed at Potlatch Corporation as a secretary/receptionist for over 30 years. Anna was highly energetic, worked very hard, and was known as the motivator of the family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Gorman Grider; sons, Mike Grider (Wanda) and Jay Grider (Jennifer); daughters, Vicky McDougald (Mike) and Gena Wilkerson (David); 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 2 great great grandchildren on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Kay Scroggins, and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service was 2 pm, Monday, February 20, 2023 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
