After two years and two months, the Bradley County Courthouse bell tower was finally put back on top of the courthouse on Sunday morning. People from the community gathered to watch the historic moment. There was a delay in the morning as the crane’s sensors went off due to the cold temperature, but it was eventually able to work. CP&P Construction, from El Dorado, used a giant crane lifting the 12-ton bell tower into its place. CADM Architectural Firm and Diversified Construction and Design, both out of El Dorado, also worked on the project. The tower was constructed in 1904.
