Warren School District accepts new hires

The Warren School Board approved multiple resignations and new hires at the monthly school board meeting on Monday, May 8.

The school board approved the following resignations: Miranda Eubanks, fourth grade science instructor at Brunson; Tristan McMahan, Warren Middle School counselor; Andrew Saunders, Warren Middle School ALE, assistant baseball coach, assistant high school football and assistant junior high football coach; Tina Anthony, seventh grade literacy instructor at Warren Middle School; Joanna Young, Beta Club sponsor at Warren High School; Kevin Dunn, music instructor and band director at Warren High School; Clark Watkins, defensive coordinator and ALE instructor at Warren High School; Candace Cox, Warren High School Art Instructor; Kabrina Tenner, food service worker; and Chanel Hooper, paraprofessional at Warren Middle School.

Linda Harton announced here retirement as instructional facilitator at Eastside Elementary School after 39 years.

The school board approved the following new hires: Tina Anthony, sixth grade literacy at Warren Middle School; Clark Watkins, Warren High School Dean of Students; Matthew Gonzalez, Warren High School Defensive Coordinator, assistant baseball coach, and WHS ALE instructor; Jamie Palmer, Warren High School science instructor; Rosalynda Ellis, Brunson Elementary Principal; Anna Miller, Warren Elementary assistant principal; Christie Pierce, K-3 art instructor; and Tristan McMahan, music instructor at Warren Elementary School.

The school board approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the school district and Mainline Health. The MOU establishes a medical clinic on the school campus and will provide mental, medical, and dental services to students.

The school district approved the purchase of marker boards for the new Warren Elementary School for $46,000.

The school board approved a $1.00 raise to administrators and classified salary schedules.

The next school board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 12.
