On Wednesday, December 4, Warren High School celebrated a momentous occasion as senior Antonio “AJ” Jordan officially declared his commitment to play football for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, and fellow athletes, Jordan signed his football scholarship papers in a ceremony that highlighted his hard work, dedication, and the bright future that lies ahead.

“I feel very confident in him going to the next level,” said Bo Hembree, head coach of the Warren Lumberjacks. “Antonio has come a long way since seventh grade. He’s going to be very successful. He had an outstanding football season. He’s very deserving of this honor, and he knows that the real work is in front of him now.”

The signing ceremony was filled with excitement as Jordan, who has been a standout player for the Lumberjacks, made the official announcement.

“My family and I have decided that I’m going to be attending the University of Arkansas for the next four years,” said Jordan, as the room erupted with cheers and applause from those in attendance. “Thank y’all for coming out. I appreciate y’all.”

Jordan's commitment to Arkansas marks an exciting new chapter in his athletic journey. Throughout his time at Warren High School, he has been known for his athleticism, leadership, and commitment to excellence on the field. His stellar performance during his senior season has earned him the recognition and opportunity to play at the collegiate level.

The Razorbacks have a proud history of players who have come from Warren High School, and Jordan is following in the footsteps of some notable alumni who have made their mark on the University of Arkansas football program. Former Lumberjack alumni like Chris Gragg, Jarius Wright, Greg Childs, and Treylon Burks have all played for the Razorbacks, contributing to the program’s legacy.

As Jordan prepares to take his game to the next level, his coaches and teammates are confident that he will continue to thrive. For Jordan, the commitment to Arkansas is not just a personal achievement, but a reflection of the hard work and support from his family, coaches, and community. As he embarks on his journey to the University of Arkansas, Jordan carries with him the pride and legacy of Warren High School, ready to make his mark on the Razorbacks’ football program.

With the signing complete, Jordan now turns his focus to the next chapter in his football career. The real work, as Coach Hembree notes, is just beginning. But with his talent and determination, there is no doubt that Jordan has what it takes to succeed at the highest level.
