Warren High School Fire Update

The Warren School District released an update on Wednesday, April 6 on the fire that occurred at Warren High School. They stated that the fire possibly originated at a thermostat in the high school gymnasium. The cause of the fire was still being investigated. The school district stated they were waiting for more information from the investigators.

During that week, Warren High School had a different class schedule. The school district announced Wednesday, April 6 the Juniors and Seniors would be on campus at the Warren Cultural Center and the Freshmen and Sophomores would have class off campus, using AMI. Freshmen and Sophomores had class on campus at the Warren Cultural Center on Thursday and Juniors and Seniors had class using AMI. On Friday, all students were allowed on campus.

The school district asked parents and students to continue to have patience with them during this time.

“We are so grateful for all of the assistance, calls, offers to assist that have been provided by our district family, community members, mayor, city council, fire, police, and emergency departments, state-wide school districts, Arkansas Department of Education, and the Governor’s office,” the district said in their statement.
