The Warren City Council held a special called meeting Monday, Aug. 18, with all members present.
The meeting began with the approval of minutes from the Aug. 11 meeting. The main item on the agenda was the adoption of Resolution #A705, which authorizes the city to apply for an outdoor recreation grant through the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism.
If approved, the grant would fund improvements to the city pool, requiring the city to provide matching funds. City officials said the project would enhance the facility for all residents of Warren.
The resolution passed unanimously. The meeting was then adjourned.
The next regular city council meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 8.
