The Rotary Club of Warren heard from Warren High School’s Head Football Coach Bo Hembree during its weekly meeting Tuesday. Coach Hembree was introduced by Rotarian Andrew Tolbert and spoke about the upcoming high school football season.

Coach Hembree said he has 47 players, which is the most they have had in a while, and it is quality depth. This should allow the team to not play many, if any, players both ways early on the in the season and has helped practice tremendously because they can go with true first-team offense versus first-team defense.

He spoke about who is projected to start at each position on both sides of the ball and in the kicking game and went over the schedule.

Coach Hembree also touched on the overall state of high school football in Arkansas and all the classification changes that are on the horizon.

He answered a few questions from the group and said he hopes to see a great crowd for the scrimmage game against Fordyce Friday Night.
