A local New Edinburg man found a rare painting by American entertainer Frances Langford while cleaning out a trailer. He wanted to remain annonymous. He told The Eagle Democrat he got it verified to make sure it wasn’t stolen and it came back clean. Behind the photo when you open the back of the frame, was a professinal head shot of Langford. He got her signature verified on the painting.
He said it was worth millions of dollars and was looking to sell it. He told The Eagle Democrat if he sold it he would give some of the money to help the city of Warren.
Langford was an American singer and entertainer during the Golden Age of Radio. She performed with entertainer Bob Hope many times. She passed away in 2005. She painted during her spare time.
