Gwendolyn Ederington, 84

Gwendolyn Marie Sinks Ederington, age 84, of Benton, formerly of Banks, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Southern Trace Nursing Home in Bryant. Gwen was born on July 18, 1940 in Warren, a daughter of the late Douglas Sinks and Ivonette Sinks. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Jim Doug Ederington.

Gwen was an employee at Warren Bank and Trust for 41 years; her grace and presence in the bank lead her to friendships that have lasted a lifetime. She was a longtime member of Hermitage Baptist Church and she attended Warren Public Schools.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Ederington of Benton, formerly of Banks, whom she married on October 13, 1956; two sons, Jim Ederington (Pam) of Hermitage, and Todd Ederington (Karen) of Bryant; grandchildren, Kaley Price (Cameron) of Bryant, and Justin Jackson of Raleigh, N.C.; great-grandchild, Aiden Jackson; sisters, Sue Hale and (Dr. N. Patrick Hale) of St. Augustine, Fla., and Joy Laney (Gary) of Searcy; six nephews and two nieces along with a host of friends.

Gwen will be missed by all those who knew, respected, and adored her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and mamaw who dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her loved ones.

Funeral service was held 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Memorials preferred to Holly Springs Cemetery Association, C/O Hugh Allen Quimby 322 Bradley Road 32, Warren, Ark. 71671.
