On Saturday, December 14, friends and family gathered at the annual Miss Spirit of Christmas Pageant to cheer on their favorite contestant in a celebration of beauty, grace, and holiday spirit. The event, held at the community center in Hermitage, featured participants competing for the title, with the added incentive of scholarships. Ramos Farms and Dr. Michelle Weaver were just a couple of the donors.
The pageant stage was decorated in traditional Christmas decor, setting the perfect festive atmosphere for the day’s events. A variety of local vendors were also on hand, selling everything from t-shirts and jewelry to handmade blankets and crafts, allowing attendees to shop for holiday gifts.
Alli Cathey took on the role of Emcee for the morning as the contestants took center stage. Among the many highlights of the event, the Grinch made a special appearance, adding his signature touch of mischief. True to his character, his demeanor was predictably annoyed, much to the amusement of the audience.
The pageant was a heartwarming occasion filled with holiday cheer, laughter, and community spirit. Though the competition was fierce, it was clear that all the contestants were winners in the hearts of their supporters.
