Donnie Carroll Summerford Jr., 55, passed away peacefully at home in Bryson City, North Carolina, following a long illness. He was born August 5, 1970, in Little Rock.
Donnie worked most of his life in construction and owned a Contracting Company. He was a big Razorback fan, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to cook. He always hosted a big New Year's Eve party. His favorite hobby was mud truck and dirt-track racing, where his mechanic skills came in handy.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karen Summerford; son Aaron Martin and his wife Reba of Dermott; daughter Ariana Lawson and her husband Hunter of Monticello; grandchildren Tristen, Marlowe, Landon, Leona, and Caden; and his fur companion, Baby Girl. Preceded in death by his parents, Donnie Summerford and Carolyn Ann Summerford of Monticello.
A celebration of life is planned for 4 p.m. May 30 at his home in Bryson City, N.C. Condolences can be sent to Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City.
