Cook pleads guilty to theft charges

The owner of Cook’s Heating and Air, Danny Cook, recently plead guilty to felony charges on two counts of Theft of Property, value greater than $1,000, but equal to or less than $5,000.

Cook was arrested in August 2022 by the Warren Police Department on two counts of theft of property. Cook plead guilty to taking air conditioning units from two local businesses.

Cook was sentenced to four years of supervised probation and a fine of $1,000. He will also have to pay $150 in court costs, $250 for a DNA Fine and a $40 booking fee.

The deputy prosecuting attorney was David Harrod, Robert Bridewell was Cook’s defense attorney, and Judge Quincy Ross presided. Cook is the former owner and publisher of The Eagle Democrat. He sold the newspaper in April of 2022.
