Former Representative Marian Shultz passed away on May 18, 2023 in Little Rock.
There will be a Celebration of Life service for Shultz at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 11 at First United Methodist Church in Warren.
She was from Searcy, but moved to Warren after she married her late husband Wayne Owens, who was from Warren. She helped him run his family business, Owens’ Shoes and Clothing, before entering the real estate business with Warren Realty.
In the 1980’s, she became Warren’s first female city council member and served several terms. Shultz served three terms from 1992 to 1998 as state representative.
