Saturday, November 1 marked the opening of the 2024-25 youth deer season. In true Southeast Arkansas fashion, youth of all ages headed to deer stands to see if they could find that dream deer. In Banks, Buck Fever kicked off with a day of fun and activities. The evening ended with the youth Biggest Buck and Biggest Doe competition. Grant Case won the Biggest Buck contest and a $250 prize after he entered an 11 point buck. Dominic Parks won the Biggest Doe contest taking home $100. Festival activities will continue on Saturday, November 9 at 10 a.m.
