Banks Volunteer Fire Department responds to trailer fire

The Banks Volunteer Fire Department responded to a trailer fire at 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at Bradley 1 in Banks. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

The trailer home was a total loss, according to the Town of Banks officials. There were no injuries reported. The residents were able to escape with what they had on.

According to the fire report, the residents were cooking supper and the wall behind the stove burst into flames and engulfed the ceiling. The flames spread through the entire trailer.

The town of Banks is accepting donations for the residents of the trailer. Clothes and basic essentials are accepted. For the mother, they are accepting size 16 pants, Large tops, undergarments, socks, and shoes. For the two teenage sons, they are accepting Large shirts, 34x32 pants, 32x32 pants, shoes, socks and underwear.
